Fun facts about performing this Stunt for The Batman 2022 - stunt doubling for Robbert Patterson.

• We filmed this sequence in the Uk , Cardington Airfield / studios .. built in 1915.. a sight to see .. massive building over 50m high and 200m long .. and we filmed here in winter it was snowing outside and they can’t heat up the area as it’s to large .. it was FREEZING

• The suit I wore for this Stunt was a like one piece suit and then all the Batman attachments either clipped or Velcro on but what that meant if I needed to go 10/1 or move around freely it was a 45min reset time min .. and the rest times between explosion setups was 30 min ..so that meant I was in the suit all day for 9 hrs .. between the explosion resets .. we did 7 takes I believe , I sat on a chair in the middle of this massive building dressed as Batman on a set built as a church with a prosthetic mask on that I can hardly see or breathing threw for the explosion in my face .. I sat quietly and just took it all in ! What an experience..

• The bomb used for explosion in my face was a gas can in a protective cage with a small explosive to set it off .. I was protected so it was fine .. but all I could see was the count down clock right infront of my eyes on the fake bomb was counting randomly… 10,14.9,3.1.8 .. and I needed to listen for 3,2,1 action .. it was a mind boggling experience haha and we filmed this at 90fps so every move counted .

• On one of the takes the Bat suit caught on fire from the explosion on my legs .. it looked epic ..the thick leather chaps and boots kept me protected.

• Robert Patterson watched the play back of a close up shot , dragging me through chairs.. and said .. “ I can’t even tell that’s not me “ .
